Gamers mistake BYOC for Bring Your Own Cornucopia. Attend wrong festival. Have time of their lives.
When Aaron, Becky, Jared and Lucy loaded up their Volkswagon bus with their gaming gear and headed out for QuakeCon, they thought they would have the week of their lives.
Boy were they right, just not at the place they thought they were going.
“We saw a sign when we crossed the Oklahoma border that said ‘Cornucopia Festival,'” said Becky. “That’s when got into an argument about what ‘BYOC’ stood for.”
“We finally decided it stood for cornucopia,” said Aaron, “which is strange since we had a car full of computers with us!”
“This may sound corny,” said Aaron, “but I’ve really made some lifelong friends here.”
